Waialae Golf Course is, of course, the name for one of the most prestigious private golf courses on Oahu. The Waialae Country club has been highly regarded for decades, and although it is easy to join to play tennis and take advantage of some of their facilities, it is much more difficult to gain a golf club membership.

Being a part of the Waialae Golf Course community is also prestigious. This neighborhood wraps around the outside of the golf course. Some homes front directly on the golf course, but most do not. The vast majority of homes in this neighborhood were built in the 1960s and are somewhat of a ranch style. It has been a favorite neighborhood because the lot sizes are larger, the streets are wider and yet it is still close to Honolulu.

There is one condo in the community at the is the famous Kahala Beach Apartments. This is a fantastically style low rise condo right on the beach in Kahala. It has been made famous as one of the longtime homes of Jack Lord, the original Steve McGarrett of Hawaii 5-0.

Top reasons to live in the Waialae Golf Course Neighborhood:

1. Wide, beautiful streets that are quiet along with larger lot sizes
2. Close to shopping in Kahala including a Whole Foods and Kahala Mall.
3. Easy to get to anywhere in Honolulu from Kahala to Kalihi.
