A stunning emerald granite island was installed with custom mango cabinetry to match the new mango wood front door and stairs. Custom lighting and fans are installed throughout, along with new energy-efficient windows and plantation shutters. Each bathroom was renovated with new fixtures, tiles and showers including glass doors. A custom lanai door was installed to fold away to a single panel for al fresco dining and true indoor-outdoor living. Custom electric shades were installed to give privacy to the living area. Structurally, two new HVAC units were installed with a new solar water heater and 52 owned solar panels. Two Generac battery wall units (which power the entire house) and a car charging unit were added in the garage. The exterior features include custom designed Hawaiian stone fencing, new railings, gates and a downstairs deck area made of termite-resistant Ipe wood, and a separate spa installed in a private corner at the rear of the property. The gardens feature native plants as well as trees producing tangerines, lemons, limes and bananas. There are very few homes on Maui that can provide an easy walk to the ocean, protection from even extreme tsunamis and incredible views. This house does all of that, offering exceptional views of Haleakala, Kahoolawe, Molokini and Lanai. You can view spectacular sunsets and watch the whales from your private lanai while enjoying the cooling tradewinds or pop down to the beach to share the golden hour with your friendly neighbors.
