Beachvillas at Ko Olina is so far the only residential high-rise that is oceanfront at the Ko Olina resort. If you have not had the privilege of getting out there, you are definitely missing out! Most people that want to live in this resort community with lovely  beaches, golf courses and manicured landscaping have had to only choose town homes.  The town home communities such as Kai Lani, and Coconut Plantations are lovely and offer a more home feel, but some of them are quite a distance from the beach. 4. Chinese investors – Recently a Chinese investment group purchased 2 lots to build a hotel and a condo. Construction is expected to start in December 2016. The hotel is expected to be a Fairmont Hotel. Once again, the introduction of another upscale hotel will make a tremendous difference in Ko Olina

5. Ko Olina itself – As I said before, if you have not been out here, you are missing out. Much work was put into place to design this area. First, 4 sandy beach coves were constructed. Yes, these are man made, but they are beautiful and gentle places to swim.  Then there is the golf course, the manicured grounds. Restaurants and shops abound and places for a drink and dinner on the beach. It is special and romantic.

Ko Olina is a unique place on Oahu. For people that really do not like the traffic and chaos in Waikiki and Honolulu have, this is the place to be. It is quiet and relaxing. This is everything that your tropical Hawaiian vacation ought to be. If you are considering buying a vacation home to really get away from it all, this may be the place.
