Mokuleia feels much more raw to me and I love that.  One of my more favorite times of the year to go to Mokuleia is during the winter months when the surf on the outside of the reef is big.  It is very exciting to watch and normally surfers, kite surfers and wind surfers dominate these breaks.  It never fails that whenever I visit the beach, I see at least one sea turtle, which many times seeing many.  Several times I have seen Hawaiian monk seals and  breaching and spouting Humpback whales are a common sight during winter months.
