Hawaii Loa Ridge luxury homes

Hawaii Loa Ridge is truly one of the zeniths of luxury real estate in Hawaii.  This gated community covers an entire ridge on the eastern side of the island.  The vast majority of homes on the ridge were built in the 1980s.  Because the original developer sold vacant lots, some of the lots were land banked and continue to be so.  Therefore there are periodically newer and even brand new homes on the ridge.  The architecture of these homes is custom and generally palatial in styling.  Grand staircases, high ceilings, open floor plans spilling out onto a resort style pool are common themes in theses homes.  The views from the luxury homes are also on a grand scale.  Frequently, the choicest properties have jaw dropping, dramatic panoramic views from Diamond Head sweeping all the way down to Koko Head.  Because the ridge is fairly close to the ocean, the outline of the reef is easily seen in the deep blue water.  Whales, during the winter months are a common sight as well as seeing many ships and yachts passing along the coastline.
